Google Play Store Changes
Are you one of those ill fated Android tablet users?
You are in for some surprise when you check out play store; Google has started tagging the apps that are not optimized for tablets as “Designed for phones”.
Another change that has seemingly taken effect is while browsing top apps on your android tablet you will now by default see only apps that are optimized for tablets.
This eliminates the need to check out screenshots or install an app first to check out if it is compatible with your tablet only to get disappointed and uninstall.
Also, Android tablet users are now arguably less likely to download these apps.
As a developer if your app is tagged you can check here.
