Restructuring Acer Places Jason Chen at Crown!!
Acer will hand over CEO crown to Jason Chen who was working with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company. Acer is currently under its founder Stan Shih after JT Wang resigned leaving the company at a loss of $466 million loss and reducing the global workforce of the company of 7%. Jason Chen will be taking over from the first day of the year 2014.
Acer one of the leading PC sellers lost their lead to Rising Tablets and Smartphone sales eventually declining. The heart breaking and worse than expected loss of June-September period let to an immediate restructuring of the company.

Jason Chen has Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration concentrating on Communication and Transportation Management at Taiwan’s National Cheng Kung University. Chen made his debut in IBM Taiwan and worked there from 1988 to 1991. In 1991 Chen joined Intel as Sales manager of Taiwan and continued his service their till 2005 making his way to become the Vice-president and General Manager of Asia Pacific region. Jason Chen served at TSMC from 2005 as the vice president of TSMC corporate development. In 2008 he was promoted as senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing.
